According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy experienced surprisingly robust growth with 254,000 jobs added in September. “It smashed economists’ expectations for a 140,000-job gain.”
Hospitality and Healthcare industries saw some of the biggest increases adding more than 149,000 jobs to the economy. In addition, hourly wages saw an increase of 0.4% for the month.
