Robin Mee is the Founder and President of MeeDerby, the leading search firm for the Workforce Solutions ecosystem. She is a passionate advocate of staffing, a volunteer industry leader and a regular speaker at staffing events nationally. Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has honored Robin many times on the Staffing 100 and the Global Women’s Power 150 lists and in 2016 the American Staffing Association (ASA) recognized Robin with their first-ever Volunteer of The Year award. Robin is a vocal supporter of Women in Leadership and issues of Diversity and Inclusion, and MeeDerby a supporting sponsor of the ASA’s Women in Leadership Interest Group. Staffing companies have voted MeeDerby a Best of Staffing firm 12 times for Client satisfaction in the annual ClearlyRated survey. Robin is a co-author with 13 other women staffing leaders of Together We Rise, whose initial proceeds are funding ASA scholarships in support of rising females. Most importantly, Robin and her team at MeeDerby are highly regarded members of the staffing community whose company is a conduit for change, as MeeDerby has helped hundreds of staffing companies grow by hiring top talent, and thousands of staffing professionals elevate their careers.
Jill manages the Southeast Region from Charlotte, NC. She has more than 25 years of staffing management and recruiting experience, and brings significant industry intelligence and networking channels to Mee Derby’s client companies. Prior to joining Mee Derby in 1994, Jill worked in New York City managing the search division for Olsten Corporation. Jill is a graduate of Colgate University and is fluent in Spanish.
We could not run Mee Derby without Eliza! Eliza joined Mee Derby in 2000 and manages operations and technology. She has more than 20 years of experience in the recruitment industry. Eliza comes to Mee Derby from Australia, where she was a Technical Recruiter for an information technology staffing firm for three years. She also has five years’ experience in IT, medical and engineering recruitment in the Philippines. Eliza is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines.
Jennifer has more than 17 years of experience in the staffing industry. She comes to Mee Derby having spent the bulk of her career working in temporary staffing and most recently as a corporate recruiter for a major staffing company, recruiting search professionals throughout the United States. Beginning her career as an on-site manager for a software company in Lenexa, Kansas, Jennifer has worked in territories including Texas, South Carolina, Kansas and Virginia, and has experience recruiting in the IT, legal, accounting and finance, administrative, manufacturing and healthcare verticals. Jennifer is a graduate of Kansas State University.
Kim brings more than 20 years of staffing industry and search experience to MeeDerby. She leads the day to day operations of MeeDerby supporting the team in placing managers and executives in the staffing industry. Kim is active with the American Staffing Association (ASA), participating in the Women in Leadership Council, The Mentor/Mentee Program, former Chair of the Direct Hire Council and a 2023 advisor to the Women’s Business Colloraberative’s (WBC) Staffing Workstream. Kim is active in her community as a board member with SHIP (Student Homeless Initiative Partnership), is a volunteer dive coach for her son’s highschool and a committee member of BoyScout Troop 278. Prior to joining MeeDerby, Kim spent 15 years with Spherion in leadership and revenue driving roles across multiple staffing verticals.
Jim Alesio supports our national searches, assisting clients and candidates with their talent acquisition goals. With over 30 years of professional staffing experience, Jim is a leader in the industry, having spent his career building and managing successful sales and recruiting teams and driving profitable business. Jim brings exceptional focus on the finance & accounting (F&A) staffing industry to Mee Derby. After his early career in finance and accounting, he started as an F&A recruiter and over the next 20 years gradually rose to oversee one of the largest regions for the #2 F&A staffing firm. He has also built F&A staffing operations in most major U.S. markets while also adding executive search teams to enhance overall profitability. Mee derby has known Jim for years as a client and candidate, watching his career evolve from recruiter to branch manager to regional VP/division director. Jim is a graduate of Hawthorne College, where he completed a B.S. degree in accounting.
Sue has more than 17 years of staffing industry experience. At MeeDerby, Sue focuses nationally placing director level executives and sales professionals in the staffing industry, working with both privately-held and national firms to help increase their geographic footprint and attract senior leadership. Prior to MeeDerby, she spent 11 years with an independent, full service staffing company based in the Washington, DC – Baltimore metropolitan area. Sue was an area leader at Keepers which specializes in serving mid-sized companies in administrative and accounting and finance. Sue is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and pursuing her MBA with an anticipated graduation in September, 2023.
Walter Shedd has 13 years of experience in sales and recruiting management and joined the staffing industry four years ago. He started out in retail staffing and project-oriented MSP work, and like many, found that the most rewarding piece of the staffing puzzle has always been working hand-in-hand with both client and candidate and leading the process while creating a strong foundation for growth and success for all. Walter has a level and broad knowledge of the industry, having completed multiple projects with Life Sciences, IT, Professional, and Enterprise verticals. His foundation is visual storytelling – holding a 4 year internship with a photojournalist from TIME Magazine from 2004-2008, he covered the 2004 presidential primaries/election as well as the World Series, traveled to 43 states and contributed to over 100 images within the magazine during that time. Walter’s focus at Mee Derby will be nationwide sourcing and recruiting of staffing and workforce solutions managers and executives, with a special focus on his hometown of Chicago.
Anisha has over eight years of experience in the staffing industry. At MeeDerby, she focuses on placing executives and leaders in staffing firms across the US. She has experience working with professionals across multiple verticals, including IT, accounting and finance, healthcare, and commercial/light industrial. In her free time, she enjoys reading books and going for long walks.
Laurie brings 9 years of recruitment experience to MeeDerby. She started out as a Software Developer and found her way into recruitment through her love for meeting and interacting with exciting people and believes that recruiting allows you to meet and get to know hundreds of outstanding people and some innovators. Laurie has experience recruiting for multiple industries including IT, Banking, Retail and Healthcare. Her focus at MeeDerby is on nationwide sourcing and recruiting of staffing and workforce solutions managers and executives.
Amanda Robbins is a highly motivated, dedicated and goal-oriented Professional Recruiter with over 9 years of experience in industries such as Information Technology, Banking & Finance, Marketing and Telecommunication. She has a strong passion for Sourcing and Recruiting top talent and is always on the lookout to learn and develop better strategies and processes to be better at that. She relies on her interpersonal skills, attention to detail and following through with commitments to develop strong relations with candidates and clients. Amanda loves connecting people with the right job opportunities and finds this in particular a rewarding experience.
Her interests or hobbies outside of work include spending time playing with her pet, cooking or baking and listening to music.
Jack brings 3.5 years of staffing industry experience to MeeDerby. He manages all marketing initiatives, social media strategies and external branding of MeeDerby with an aim of building both the company and individual executive recruiters brands simultaneously. Jack relies on his creative mind and knowledge of ongoing staffing industry trends to create a dialogue, sense of community and general connection in our marketing efforts. The goal is to create a blend of content around industry trends, team fun and the jobs we have to offer.
In his free time Jack enjoys his days in Brooklyn, NY making music of vast varieties after work and all that the city has to offer.
Kamille has a decade of experience in the staffing industry. She comes to MeeDerby having spent most of her career working in temporary staffing and most recently as an Area Manager with LSI Staffing in the Kansas City market. Kamille has experience recruiting across multiple verticals including industrial, accounting and finance, and office/administrative. She focuses on staffing Commercial Branch Managers, Business Development Managers and Recruiters in the Staffing Industry. Kamille is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University – Go Bearcats!
