The IT industry, for instance, still experiences tight labor conditions, with government agencies and startups competing for talent previously attracted to major tech companies. The retail sector faces similar challenges, highlighting the importance of creating an engaging and supportive environment for contingent labor.”

Such roles create a new pipeline for workers to seek permanent employment and also build a work-life balance that makes sense and is maintaining “business continuity.”
