In this week’s Increase Diversity newsletter, Jenn Tardy shares the “Key Issues That Define the Hiring Obstacle Course for LGBTQ+ Workers in the US.”

As we enter pride month, Tardy has shifted her focus on the bias against LGBTQ+ employees in the workplace and the ways we can overcome it. Bias has always been an issue in the recruitment process but from those in the LGBTQ+ community they are not only scored lower than their cisgender heterosexual counterparts but also invited to less interviews.

In addition, the issue of workplaces not already being inclusive as well as pre existing pay gaps for those in the LGBTQ+ community remain major obstacles.
