MeeDerby has memberships in local, regional and national staffing associations and attends a variety of conferences and meetings. Members of our team sit on committees and boards of some of these leading trade associations. Our professional development is further enhanced through ongoing training, webinars and subscriptions to leading publications.
American Staffing Association (ASA) is the voice of the staffing industry, promoting the interests of member companies through legal and legislative advocacy, public relations, education and the establishment of high standards of ethical conduct. ASA’s member companies operate more than 15,000 offices across the U.S., accounting for 85% of industry sales. ASA has affiliated councils and chapters across the country, including the Capital Area Staffing Council. MeeDerby’s staff is actively involved in ASA activities on a national level. Currently, MeeDerby is a proud co-sponsor of the Women in Leadership Interest Group. Kim Whiteley sits on the Professional Section Sector Committee. Both Robin and Kim present at Staffing World, ASA’s annual conference.
Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) is recognized as the leading provider of business intelligence, data, research, and news about the staffing and workforce solutions ecosystem. Customers are staffing executives who depend on SIA for objective and timely industry information. Products and services include syndicated market research, print/electronic newsletters, email alerts, the twice-monthly Staffing Industry Report, directories, seminars and the annual Staffing Industry Executive Forum. MeeDerby has been a regular sponsor of the Executive Forum, SIA’s annual gathering of Staffing Industry leaders. Robin Mee has presented at many Executive Forums over the years and was named to the 2012, 2016-2020 Staffing 100 Lists of most influential staffing professionals. Since 2015, SIA named Robin to the Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing List, profiling women who have made significant contributions to the staffing industry.
Capital Area Council is the greater Washington, DC chapter of the American Staffing Association. CAC provides members with networking opportunities, legislative support, education and training. Since 1995 MeeDerby has been a member of CAC, and its predecessor the Capital Area Staffing Association (CASA) with Robin Mee, Eliza Deang and Kim Whiteley serving in many leadership roles.
