Jobless claims reach lowest level since April. Though it doesn’t guarantee no recession at all, it is a promising sign for the outlook when compared to previous forecasts.

“This could mean that a recession may come later or not at all. Sal Guatieri, senior economist at BMO Capital Markets, says companies are retaining employees because they think any recession will be shallow.”
