American Staffing Association Names Cabin John Business Executive to National & State Leadership Roles
Cabin John, MD, February 24th, 2021—Kim Whiteley, Director and Executive Recruiter with Mee Derby & Company Inc, headquartered in Cabin John, MD, was recently appointed chair of the American Staffing Association search and placement section council. In addition, Jill Balick, Executive Recruiter and Director of Southeast region, was appointed to chair the American Staffing Association North Carolina Council meetings.
ASA is the professional trade association of the $161-billion U.S. staffing and recruiting industry.
Whiteley will work with ASA and its board of directors to spearhead programs and services that meet the search and placement sector’s needs within the association. ASA section councils are composed of member volunteers who advise the association on sector-specific issues and design programs to meet the unique business challenges faced by those sectors of the staffing industry.
Kim has 20+ years of staffing industry experience with a focus on leading teams for growth. Kim has spent the last 14 years with Mee Derby leading a team of direct hire professionals and has been actively involved with ASA on councils and as a Mentor in Mentor match program. Prior to joining Mee Derby Kim spent several years with Spherion (now Randstad) in leadership roles. Kim is a graduate of McDaniel College.
Balick, in her role as Chair, will work with ASA and North Carolina Network Council members to provide educational and networking programs to meet the unique business challenges in the local staffing industry.
Jill has more than 25 years of staffing management and recruiting experience, and brings significant industry intelligence and networking channels to Mee Derby’s client companies. Prior to joining Mee Derby in 1994, Jill worked in New York City managing the search division for Olsten Corporation. Jill is a graduate of Colgate University.
